Of Intercession

Years ago, at the beginning of my visitations, I looked around my church one Sunday morning and saw Jesus appearing as a fine, transparent cloud mist over each person there. He appeared over and around each person while wearing Joseph’s Coat of Many Colors. In the days that followed, I began to see the miracle of the Lord’s salvation from depths that I had difficulty expressing. It was like taking a big, long gulp from an ocean of God that spoke from his depths.
I have come to discover the Ministry of Intercession to be a gift, even as we labor on behalf of a cause that exceeds our understanding of what God is forming within us. A healed soul will minister the same salvation to the greater part that salvation is to embody. While there are times that we stand in the gaps to intervene on behalf of another or others, the same robe that is woven to clothe others embodies us as a measure of grace. “Pressed down, shaken together, and running over.”
Jesus specifically taught to give, and it will be given to you. What is given to be multiplied to others can begin with the seed of God’s word from what becomes multiplied through lifestyle and daily living.
The photo below speaks of an earlier time when I gathered with a community of local churches, their Pastors, and Elders. God spoke to me to look beyond the huge denominational churches that sat on the street corners and look to the skyline of the city instead. This is where the Priesthood began appearing to me. Much like the days of Noah, God gives seed to the sower and we begin building to specific instructions.
A coming flood that would cover the earth:
Noah began building what would build his own house before the rains ever came. This was accounted as faith by God. The ark was built and completed before the unseen realms came to be seen in the natural realm. So it is today!
Are you called into intercession on behalf of a specific cause? It may be that God wants to clothe you with a grace that is specific to your greater purpose and calling. As you intercede on behalf of others, may this blessing of mercy come upon you as a measure of grace in due season. Pressed down, shaken together and running over!
