This word stretches out like a band over a large circle of relationships in past days. In the past few years, I have often spoken of overcoming, but lately I have been ministering of this overcoming to some close relationships where God has been moving strong in families.
The White Stone
At the beginning of my faith walk years ago, the Lord gave me a vision of a very large pile of white stones and told me my new name. Throughout all these years, I have remembered my name, as well as its meaning. I have also pondered on the greater meaning of what God was speaking to me through the vision that I was given of the many white stones from years ago.
Today, after my Pastor ministered about our new name, as well as some other things that have stirred my thoughts, I decided to go home and restudy the scripture that speaks of our being given this new name. Which also brings us into what is known of the White Stone Judgment in the Book of Revelation. From where I stand today, I understand the meaning of this passage more than ever just from what I have lived myself.
Rev 2:17
The one who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone G5586, and a new name written on the stone G5586 which no one knows except the one who receives it.’
In the ancient courts of justice, the accused were condemned by black pebbles and the acquitted by white. The stone itself was a small worn, smooth stone, as a pebble.
In Acts 26:10, Paul speaks of the same Greek word, psēphos, in respect to casting a vote. “….as casting a vote against those who were being put to death”.
Act 26:10
“And this is just what I did in Jerusalem; not only did I look up many of the saints in prisons, after receiving authority from the chief priests, but I also cast my vote G5586 against them when they were being put to death."
In this 26th chapter of Acts, Paul spoke of himself as one having lived as a Pharisee according to the strictest part of their religion. In verse 10, “And I did so in Jerusalem. I not only locked up many of the saints in prison after receiving authority from the chief priests, but when they were put to death I cast my vote against them. 11 And I punished them often in all the synagogues and tried to make them blaspheme, and in raging fury against them I persecuted them even to foreign cities.”
When the White Stone Judgment of Revelation 2:16 comes out of what we live daily as overcomers, we will never be tempted to cast our vote with those who have never overcome what they have been persecuted for. To do so, would cause us to be found on the wrong side of divisions from how we divide, or apply a rule towards forming a standard. Our standards eventually become a measure that we use to judge and discern circumstances by, as well as people. To overcome means to conquer; to carry off the victory, come off victorious. Of Christ, victorious over all His foes. Of Christians, that they hold fast their faith even unto death against the power of their foes, and temptations and persecutions. When one is arraigned or goes to law, to win the case, maintain one's cause.
Personally, I practice this more through simple discipleship in how I stand with others to strengthen their faith. In this past week, I stood with a Mom to support her as an Overcomer where she and her husband also stand together to raise a standard in their family. I stand with them to strengthen them in the face of what is rearing its ugly head in the form of generational iniquity. I “cast my vote” through the knowledge of what the White Stone means to declare the parents righteous for the standards that they raise. I also stand with them to come against how this darkness is governing the mind, emotions, thoughts, and actions of a family member. We prayed together and declared that this sin falls to the ground to leave the son whole; mind, will, and emotions.
God Moves on Us Through Parabolic Lifestyles
From our phone call earlier this week, when my friend saw the time that our call was ending, she announced it: 1:11.
Before church this morning, I had a vision of the appearance of a corn stalk from where it appeared on the ground of dominion authority. This morning at church, I also felt to look up the first Book, 1st chapter, 11th verse. Gen 1:11.
Gen 1:11 - Then God said, “Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit according to their kind with seed in them”; and it was so.
We know that in the 28th verse, God blessed them. The generational blessing was released when He spoke, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it;”.
In respect to the White Stone Judgment of Revelation, Paul gave a testimony of how he executed the Law as a Pharisee to persecute Christians. After his conversion, he also witnessed of his hope in the promise made by God. Whatever we live in and by personally, we will join ourselves to through the greater part or measure, whether it be life or death. Its far better to live by the cross of Christ to know Truth for ourselves so that we can live in Light and the abundant Life that Christ came to give us.
It often comes down to what tree we eat of. We partake of the fruit of the Tree of Life, as partakers, simply by knowing Christ personally. The tree of knowledge thrives on our ignorance and lack of knowledge, lack of wisdom, which comes from God. When God opens the wound, or reveals the place of lack, it’s time to move towards the Truths that our lives can be built upon to bring transformation and deeper conversion to the Life in Christ we are called to live.
