The Appearing of Zion
As always, when God populates our landscape with something new, I watch and wait for how He will begin moving to frame up the work that is to follow. When God frames up a work, He first draws out the foundation that marks the purpose that we’re being established in so that we may contend for what is to advance from this. The framework soon follows. God uses what is to follow to form our discernment in how we are to rightly divide what is present from God, as well as what can come to war against His purposes in how he is moving.
Rightly Dividing Spirit from Soul
True spiritual discernment follows in our processes of learning to rightly divide. What we divide out from what we discern as being of God, sent from God, this becomes foundation to us in these set times. Each person can have different circumstances from matters that they’re contending through. The more corporate ministry that we all become engaged in together aligns us to contend for what is greater, from what will carry God’s presence.
Virtue That Comes from Excellence of Soul
Yesterday, I had a very deep and meaningful conversation with someone who was speaking of how they have begun experiencing the frequencies of the spoken Word of God in an area of their body that needs to be healed. Of course, personal relationship with God, deep worship, and spending time in His presence are all part of this. To have this personal experience with God is opening her up into an awakened state of being that is beyond what she has ever experienced. The sharing of this in our fellowship together is bringing us both into a realm of God that neither of us have ever touched or been touched by. What we have known of both Zion and healing in times past are now being multiplied. Remember that Zion places us above the thrones of man and pours out to the deepest recesses of man’s heart and soul. In the more extreme parts, Zion will heal land!
From times past, I have watched God move in our midst to minister healing from spirit to soul, but now from soul to the body. It’s very exciting to see God move in this way. Many of us have experienced healing in many ways, but when God moves to raise a work that is founded upon healing, he is doing so to multiply the healing virtue of dunamis power that is centered upon the person of Christ alone.
In whatever way that Christ is formed through what fully expresses Him, the virtue of the ministry itself will flow without respect of boundaries to whatever God wants healing to flow to. The woman who touched the hem of Jesus’ garment was instantly healed because she pressed through the crowds to touch what she could most likely reach within herself. A healed soul! (Luke 8:43-48). Even though she came up behind Jesus, he knew that someone had “touched him” because he felt the virtue of what he carried leave him.
Luk 8:45 And Jesus said, “Who is the one who touched Me?” And while they were all denying it, Peter said, “Master, the people are crowding and pressing in on You.”
8:46 But Jesus said, “Someone did touch Me, for I was aware that power (dunamis) had left Me.”
What is Dunamis Power and How Do We Contend For This?
The dunamis power that Jesus spoke of as the virtue that left him is defined by the Greek as moral power and excellence of soul. It is also power and resources arising from numbers. Dunamis power becomes present for performing miracles. Dunamis is inherent power, which is power residing in a thing by virtue of its nature, or which a person or thing exerts and puts forth.
Exerting the Will of a Healed Soul
Although we often speak against the negative demonstrative acts and uses of power or force through an unhealed soul, when the soul is whole, we use our will as a muscle to exert and put forth the strength of our will in alignment to what we know is God’s will.
I am moving forward in planning the prophetic discipleship of the John Boat Vision as God leads through the pace that the Holy Spirit leads by. We bring forth the unseen into the seen realm through corporate ministry, but the hidden ministry of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of God’s people is not one that comes up for public viewing. We will know when it’s time to move forward in our discipleship when we receive our marching orders from the Holy Spirit in the appointed times. Until we nail down a time that we will gather to this private ministry, consider how the virtue of Zion may begin appearing in your own life.
Attributes of Zion: From the Microscope of Church Life to the Telescope of What is Multiplied Beyond the Borders:
1. Knowing the will of God is to align our will with His will for the work of the Kingdom to be advanced where there is lack.
2. From the heights of Zion, we must be faithful to take a stand for something at different times. Even as we do, the righteousness of Christ is what is to be exalted. In my own experience, the righteousness of Christ is often laid at the feet of another in humility, much like a Crown is removed so that it is placed at the feet of Jesus. A ministry of serving others causes us to deny self so that God’s greater purposes for ministry can come into view through a corporate-bodied people. Oftentimes to reach what is presently not being reached.
3. Zion, as a state of being, guards over the souls of others. As moral power, dunamis never serves to demoralize any one person or part by bringing injury, wounding, or shame to what would debilitate God’s greater purposes in the greater corporate body through corporate bodied ministry.
4. Taking up the Cross of Christ to one’s own flesh, of mind, will, and emotions, prevents us from taking up offenses in the greater expanse where our discernment has not yet been fully formed. In relationship to the more corporate body, our spiritual discernment is exercised and becomes multiplied from the governance that we exercise from within our own souls. Denying one’s own self and taking up the cross of Christ leads us to experience and know God’s power!
Here today, from times that express our most personal, intimate relationship with God and people, God is moving to draw up the design for a new thing. A window of Strategic Intercession is also opening for us to begin peering into so that we may learn of God’s greater purposes for how he is presently moving in our midst.
