With the absence of genealogy, what is established of the Melchizedek Priesthood Order remains true to order, as well as to what is formed according to the Day. What relates to the Day speaks more of what comes to us by divine appointment, rather than birthright. This is why our positioning within the realms of heaven is of such importance in our overall growth and development in Christ.
Without the presence of the night, and all that is perpetrated in the night hours, God’s sons and daughters rise in the purity of the Light and Life in Christ. From Genesis 14, where Melchizedek is first mentioned, this Priest being both King and Priest was unusual according to traditional Israelite tradition.
As is written in The Passion Translation of Hebrews 7:16, “This King-Priest did not arise because of a genealogical right under the law to be a priest, but by the power of an indestructible, resurrection life! The KJV speaks of an endless life in its translation. The NASB speaks of an indestructible life.
Hebrews 7:17 - For it says in the Psalms,
You are like Melchizedek, a King-Priest forever!
Melchizedek's role as king of Salem, traditionally identified with Jerusalem, prefigures Christ's role as the Prince of Peace. Psalms 2:6 speaks of God setting his King upon his holy hill, Zion.
Much of our rising in the Lord’s ascension witnesses more of a Priestly function because of the paths that are being laid, as well as the gaps that are being closed. The fleshly veils are torn and removed to keep the paths straight. Straight paths continue to enable us to minister from the high places. The ascension itself also witnesses of the foundations that we build from. When the Priestly functions are fulfilled, we then see the greater work being crowned with a Kingly authority. This Kingly authority rests on those who become established upon the holy hill of Zion. The whole work of ministry that goes out from this will bear witness of the Lord’s resurrection from earth. It will also bear witness of an ascension that speaks of how the ministries flow from the Kingdom to earth.
Psa 2:6 - Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
