Building the Heart and Soul of Community

The fruit that is produced within ourselves from faith in Christ, as well as within shared ministry with others, takes on immeasurable attributes. These attributes build us toward a greater scope of ministry from how community is built. The Holy Spirit orchestrates such ministry for the purpose of multiplying us in strategic times.

I remember a time when all that I spoke and ministered of prophetically came from what I heard God say. Once my hearing was fully formed in the things of the spirit, I encountered a season where my ears seemed to be closed where I heard God speak nothing. Soon after, I began to see, which caused the Seer to become formed. Seeing collaborates with some differences from hearing, yet builds from the same foundations and same Kingdom order. When the hearing and the seeing lines up in agreement in what the Holy Spirit is moving to build towards, the word and declarations spoken from this place will go out with power and in Holy Spirit demonstration. This one part of prophetic ministry alone greatly affects how apostolic foundations will function when the full body of the prophetic begins to emerge in the times (mission, cause, etc.) that it was created for.

The Foundation of Koinonea Fellowship:

The prophetic in my own ears began to hear in respect to my heart conditions and associations, according to what my eyes were seeing. Until God closed my ears, I had no understanding of how our eyes serve as the window of our souls. Oftentimes, what we see relates to what our souls and lives are planted in. In John 16:7, Jesus told his disciples that it was to their advantage that he was leaving. He also spoke that if he didn’t leave, the Helper would not come. In all parts that John 16:7 is fulfilled through, a purging takes place in the deep recesses of the soul.

Jhn 16:7

“But I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I am leaving; for if I do not leave, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.

Here, the “Helper”, which is the Holy Spirit, is spoken of as paraklētos.

  • Paraklētos is defined as being summoned, called to one's side, especially called to one's aid. One who pleads another's cause before a judge, a pleader, counsel for defense. Legal assistant, an advocate.

  • One who pleads another's cause with one, an intercessor of Christ in his exaltation at God's right hand, pleading with God the Father for the pardon of our sins.

  • An aider, assistant of the Holy Spirit destined to take the place of Christ with the apostles (after his ascension to the Father), to lead them to a deeper knowledge of the gospel truth, and give them divine strength needed to enable them to undergo trials and persecutions on behalf of the divine kingdom”- end.

From this juncture, Intercession comes as the infilling of the Spirit life that the prophetic is to carry within the ministries, as well as within prophetic companies. Christ spoke to his disciples from where his own life would become a sacrifice on their behalf, as well as all people who accepted him as Saviour and Lord. Even as an Advocate to empower them in what they would be sent forth in. The Holy Spirit, as the Helper that Jesus sends to us, would come to raise his life, which was now dwelling within them to finish what he had started in the earth.

The same patterns appear in our lives and ministry to this day. There are internal dimensions of grace, as well as external dimensions. Both lead to exalting Christ in the earth, as well as manifesting God’s glory in the earth. Once we know what to lay down, we can quickly take up the life of Christ as his followers to multiply the works that Jesus did in the earth.

If we’re going to watch over the souls of people, it must begin within ourselves. Both as individuals, then from a greater expression that comes through community. Finally, where community becomes the carrier, or host of Kingdom culture towards greater liberty in Christ. Culture that is formed by man without God becomes the greatest weight of oppression that people must bear up in their daily lives.

The Holy Spirit moves in the heart and soul of community much like he moves on an individual’s heart to reveal the cross works of Christ. God does not weigh our souls down from words or knowledge that separates our soul from spirit, where they are one in God's order. (Soul governed by spirit life, as opposed to spirit governed by soulish, fleshly life.) He points us towards a greater mark or standard to bear up as co-laborers with others towards the same cause.

I have a friend that I walk with, seemingly for one specific purpose. We walk together in harmony because our hearts are knitted together in love and our lives are submitted to divine order. We relate to different bodies of Leadership, different structure, different schools of ministry, etc. Yet, Jesus appears, or manifests himself to us when we do come together. I have noticed that where his vision comes directly from before the Throne, my vision comes directly from what has, or is being planted in spiritual ground in relation to scripture. Spiritual east from west prepares a framework, with each walking in what brings fullness to the whole. The whole scope of ministry relates to Zion, which ministers more to our individual parts.

Even as the EARs of our partnership help us both to HEAR, the work that relates to the EARS of Corn (towards greater harvest), is being cultivated in our lives so that we can see and discern the blessing. The Helper will give us the wisdom and the tools of how to access what we're both walking towards.

Partnerships:

Partnership is one of the more progressive attributes of what Koinonea fellowship (of Acts 2:42) continues to cultivate in our lives, relationships, and ministries. Kingdom ministry can stretch us beyond what we can accomplish in and of ourselves. Even beyond what we can keep up with once fruition begins. We can only build one Storehouse! We do better in preparing the workers of the harvest, of those who will co-labor with us.

If we look for structure alone, from what holds the ministry, we will miss the times of visitation. When our ears hear the sound of order, our feet will follow. Our mouths will speak from the eternal realms of God’s Kingdom. The path that goes out before us is will be well lit and illuminated from the glory of God.

It often seems that before new harvests can be fully yielded and celebrated, blood must be shed. I'm referring more of the soul life here, but this level of persecution does take place at times. The truth is that the blood of Christ has already been shed. We, as partakers in his sufferings, will also be partakers in the victories that he leads us into. It is good to be seated and joined to a table where the Holy Communion of the Lord’s body is shared with those who have likewise walked this path.
